For clarification I'd like to say that I'm not upset about the lack of chapters, I'm upset about the lack of accurate communication between the author and his fan base about expectations going forward.

Then he should say "My current health problems mean that this webnovel will be on temporary hiatus/decreased chapter count until the problems are resolved". Not that he's going to release all the chapters he's behind on as well as the chapters for the current week. If he needs a break, he needs a break, and I'm sure quality will improve when he comes back refreshed. But if he's going to make commitments to release a certain amount of chapters then he needs to at least let us know if that commitment has fallen through.

We all want to continue the story like the next person. Your view is a little harsh considering payments have been suspended and guy is going through health issues. I am more concerned about the author than the immediate chapters at the moment because this is my favorite web novel I am reading at the moment, so he can take as long as he needs for a healthy body and mind to comfortably continue his story to the final end.
