Chapter 360 - Naha

Zach didn’t become overpowered out of nowhere. He essentially spent thousands of years alone, constantly starving and being dehydrated, unable to die because of Hastur’s will. His willpower didn’t skyrocket all of a sudden, it built up over those years under the agony and weight of time. He never broke because that was one of the anchors in his soul placed by one of his skills, along with his perk that allowed his mind to work in all conditions. That’s how he built up his Will, his strength.

i personally think Ryun is the better character.

I personally enjoy Zach chapters and Naha is the best side character in the book and has had some of the strongest chapters in the entire story.

I think Naha is one of the best most well rounded characters in the story with the most sympathetic backstories of anyone. She's also one of the most real characters outside of Anrosh and someone like Lesa. Zach* is also far more interesting than any boring crap Ryun has going on. If it wasn't for all the other TMS-related Characters Ryun would be worse off than Zach* is right now and Zach* only has Naha in his side of the story.

I agree that the three way relationship is underdeveloped, but I disagree regarding Zack. I find his chapters just as interesting as Ryun's, if not more interesting, depending on the arc.

I don't want to say Zach is all bad but certainly less good. I've actually enjoyed his stuff since Hastur but I agree it's a bit tainted by how long it took to get there. I think the only Zach stuff I've ever skipped entirely was the warden dungeon. imo the way to save Zach as a character is to combine him with some of the Ryun stuff and do away with the solo. They have similar interests now in essence study and are at a point where they could reasonably get along without the past interfering. Have Zach take a backseat but be living at twilight melody to occasionally jump into a Ryun chapter for essence stuff. He's not completely uninteresting (anymore) but not interesting enough to deserve the amount of time he gets

I think the next of the series should double down on Ryun storyline. I understand the fact that too much time has been spent developing Zack but it is just not working, most readers agree that they tend to speedread his chapters.... The second book was hard to listen (audiobook) because it had soooo many Zack characters that I had to also get the book so I could only read the beginning of paragraphs until we arrived at a Ryun chapter. If Zack dies heroically, no1 would complain. It would also be great to see a time skip or get Ryun to 'delete' time or something so he can make progress on his aspect. There some new really interesting characters that I think should take Zacks time...

Agreed, the three still feel like strangers to each other which makes the rare sensitive moments seem weird. The one night stand with erdania felt more believable than anything in their relationship afterward

I think the 3 way relationship is underdeveloped atm, but we know quite a lot of Naha who isnt as interesting. Ryun is the most interesting character by far. Zack... as overpowered as he has become out of nowhere is still not interesting for some reason and most of your readers just speedread his chapters
