I think you should make more history with the heroine, who after losing and getting pregnant tries to escape and/or struggle with the disability with her child inside her. it can be very sexy and very cool! See even after giving birth to the monster, that she can't bring herself to kill her baby, even if it's a monster, because her mother's instinct would take over her reasoning. It's only a suggestion on my part, but I think it gives plenty of scriptwriting possibilities.
