In IU's guest apperance in "The Joy of Converstions", she admitted that she almost quit the drama due to health reasons, and also acting out Jian's character was also putting a strain on her emotions.. She was willing to compensate the drama for the scenes already shooted... but then the director was able to convince her to continue coz IU was perfectly portraying the role...
