Seconding zeemod’s query. Aside from people straight up telling others they’ve done it, from what I can see it’s just monitoring the new $1 accounts made and correlating it with sudden jumps in votes, which seems pretty imprecise idk.

Rather, it is an episode that takes place between 4 and 5 because a lot of people where confused about how Violet was suddenly recognized and could write letters so easily at the start of 5 so they made this episode to bridge the gap between them in that month's time skip. There are numerous hints to that being the case as in how Violet acts and speaks in the episode. As well as all the flashbacks and scenes for other characters hinted at in episodes 1-4.
