2018 Seasonal Anime Themed Poll
Added 2018-12-16 20:44:15 +0000 UTC We're coming up on the end of Ping Pong the Animation!! As such we'll be getting this poll done in advance so we all know what's coming next.
This poll only has shows from this year's anime seasons, and none are half-blind reactions!
Vote for ANY AND ALL that you would like to see. We always take note of which shows get 2nd/3rd place. Whichever gets the most votes we will release early access reactions on the Wednesday when Ping Pong the Animation's final episode goes public.

Its much hater to hate Slime because its doing everything it needs to any more, I can't ever say I expected the anime to be this lovingly crafted and to be this well received. On the other hand Overlord is pretty divisive, I've read all the light novels and do like the anime, I just think its a mess as well.

There are so many other stories like that, that are more entertaining and better overall, they just don't get the popularity. Then again, even that is just another opinion.

2018-12-19 03:39:03 +0000 UTCLate to the party on this one but Slime is kinda mediocre in my opinion, I loved the first few episodes but as the series has gone on I find myself enjoying the series less and less, even after reading the manga. It certainly does have a unique appeal to it, and I don't consider it a "bad show" by any means, but I honestly don't see where people are coming from when they give it great praise.

I watched the first episode, it began kinda smoothly i liked where this was going and then boom a Room filled with naked guys acting all weird and I thought ok but our mc is surely a bit more mature. But no it got even weirder and after his childhood friend came in it basically unfolded one of my most hated anime tropes ever. The "I assume my childhoodfriend MC to be a pervert because of one misunderstandable situation and see all situations as wrong as humanly possible... for \"comedy\" purpose of course". I began to hate Grand Blue from the first episode on. I was even more shook that Grand Blue apparently was one of the most anticipated and popular animes of that season. Seeing it fail in this rather intelligent community restored my faith in this community

2018-12-18 01:37:10 +0000 UTCThis one is kinda of a Isekai with a skin, the protagonist remains overpowered for no reason, he still builds a harem again, for no reason, it does have some aspects that are less generic, but it is still a overrall same formula executed the same way with a little bit of a twist somewhere there. It just isnt enough of a change to make it remarkable.

I believe you, that manga or LN is really good, but anime is still ongoing, they still can go to space and fight some aliens. Who knows in our days. Also, i like "Reincarnated as a Slime" so far, but i don't see much of discussion potential in this show.

What's wrong with Grand Blue? It's literally just an anime about college students being college students. It has some raunchy humor, but so what? So does Konosuba, which the bros watched and enjoyed. Personally I've seen all of these shows and enjoyed them all for unique reasons. But Slime winning was so predictable because it's one of the big shows right now that's still airing. It's a shame that something a little different like Grand Blue doesn't stand a chance because of that.

This happened with Ancient Magus Bride where it just sucked for the 2nd half despite the first half being good. It was voted in half way through and they had to bog through it to the end.

Overlord hasn't got another shot since it's poll despite being only a few votes off winning. Where is; PopTeamEpic, Karakai Jouzu no Takagi san, (as much as hate to say it) Darling in the FranXX, Goblin Slayer, Bunny Girl Senpai, Zombieland Saga? At no point it felt like it was really doing anything original, just a generic show with a weird gimmick and mediocre in every other aspect.
