I understand early on you might not have been doing them yet, but I am surprised despite doing them for other series, HxH doesn't seem to have gotten the same treatment, which is a shame. Just starting on your HxH reactions now, and from the first 2 reactions it feels like part of the actual reaction is cut out, which is why I love full length so much. Just thought I would ask incase I somehow missed them, or in order to get the reasoning behind not doing full length for HxH. Thanks.

2019-01-05 01:55:43 +0000 UTCI never realized it until this viewing, but when they were talking about Gon coming of age, it hit me. At the end of the Hunter Exam, Gon tried to give back his license but Satotz refused and told Gon that if he felt ashamed of how he passed, he could just hang on to the license and not use it until he was ready. And the first time Gon uses this license is now, in this episode. He tries to use it to open the box Ging left him on Whale Island, sure. But that's not really using it or showing anyone he's a Hunter. He sells it off in the Yorknew arc. He tries to use it to prove he's a Hunter to Battera and Tsezegerra, but he can't because he'd sold it earlier - though Zepile gets it back for him. So I think this moment is the first time he actually uses the license, showing that he has matured and grown to a point where he feels confident enough to use it. AAAAH! TOGODSHI!

2019-01-04 12:37:44 +0000 UTCi think what i like about HXH and why its one of my most fav shows is because this last message of ging and etc. was not something that i didnt already know or hear before, but when one gets sucked into life or the countless "detours" it can be very easy to forget this message. i loved that when i watched and rewatched this series it honestly reminded me not only about the philosophy that ging explained but also inspired the innocent "wonder" in me again. it wasnt that i didnt have the wonder or have these philosophical thoughts about life, but i was simply reminded. "reminded" i feel doesn't completely do what im trying to say justice but it still "fits" i guess. this was a great ending in the context of the show, as the creators had to balance the fact that the show was ending yet the manga was still going. it tied the knot yet still created the pathway of a potential next season. everytime i rewatch this show im always re-inspired somehow. whether it my appreciation of the author/story, the complex messages, the character journey, the wonder, etc. and i think that i will keep getting inspired/reminded. even if a person doesnt really get the whole spiritual messages or the underlining themes, i love that they can still love it the way it is, on the "surface". i remember thinking that it was a great kids show, and it is, but all ages can appreciate different aspects of the show . it wasnt afraid to go completely dark/complex with its ant arc, nor was it ashamed to showcase simple tournament arcs. killua is also my fav character :) but meruem is a close second. i also dont know how to explain/recommend this show to others lol whatever i say feels so underwhelming and basic. anyway sorry for the paragraph but i love to express my happiness and appreciation when watching this show. and it was a complete joy to watch it with you guys (even tho you wont see this comment). hearing your commentary along the way inspired me once again and reminded me why/what i love about this show. thankyou for being so patient with it.

There are definitely so many stories out there but I just don't know how to write them. I used to write a lot when I was younger but the story just kept expanding, expanding and expanding until I'm overwhelmed and everything becomes a convoluted mess. Writing is something I've put down in recent times but I just love creating stories and intaking every story based medium I possibly can.

2019-01-03 19:28:42 +0000 UTCJust for clarification, Gotoh wasn't one of the fox things. He was a person but then when he died the fox dudes felt bad for Killua and decided to transform into him. So the butlers and foxes are still keeping Gotoh's death a secret from Killua because they know he'll blame himself.
