2019-01-13 06:36:50 +0000 UTCThey are using a bluray version checked the desync with cr, it is at about 12 seconds at the end desync points are mostly the aniplex logo at the beginning and cr lingering more on the title card after the op from what i have observed (in general, cr isn't a good place to watch bake, because of 480p and the last 3 episodes missing)

I'm a minority but I just don't like full length, cause the parts cut out of 10 min are usually just them paying attention and quietly watching, which is needed even more in a show like this, but not really reaction worthy. Also with the whole episode I just end up watching the anime not paying attention to what bros are thinking haha.

I think they would still find the character developments of certain characters moving.

There are a few things in the movies that are framed with the existence of the show in mind, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're obligated to watch them in order of release date. They released several things out of order for budget reasons.

2019-01-11 02:43:35 +0000 UTCIf you go to MAL and look up the series--scroll down to the section that lists sequels/prequels/spinoffs (and trust me, this series is littered with lots) and follow the series as they've ordered it you'll be closest to watching the events in chronological order. I had to learn how to watch this series as I was watching it, and let me tell you, it's frustrating.

They started the adaptation ahead of light novels because they wanted to save the origin story for a big budget movie production and it ended up getting stalled out for years longer than anticipated... so I guess they always wanted people to watch the movies first. I'm not kidding when I say 90% of the context is in those 3 movies for understanding the two main characters.
