2019-01-13 04:22:37 +0000 UTCYeahhh I think the whole point of the final fight wasnt to showcase anything crazy outsmarting. Its like the entirety of Jojo, the fight is a bizarre adventure. Jotaro vs Dio is just pure, unfiltered fun on drugs.

2019-01-12 21:41:08 +0000 UTCI've kind of always thought that Araki's real mistake was in not giving clear indication how much time of DIO's "stopped time" remained. Kind of drains the tension when you don't have consistent, knowable abilities, which are the Stand concept's strength. If I had the power to tell anyone watching the DIO's World fight for the first time, I'd say "anyone who can stop time basically has enough time for one action". Talking is free and there are some exceptions - like DIO throwing about 40 knives - but it at least adds some solid consistency to the fight, which is the real downside of this fight IMO. While the ending isn't a "you don't realize you've lost?" type win, I still love it as Jotaro describes it: a quickdraw between Stands.
