Great episode, the manga goes even more into VP’s back story where thinks the daughter is the product of an affair his wife had but like you said he’s just super paranoid. Also while less so than in the manga even the anime gives him some time, to see that while he is a bit of a dick at the end of the day he has his heart in the right place and wants to do good for the students. They do however not go into the English teacher who is a super creep in the manga, who films/takes pictures of the female students on the toilet.
