Takamura's not really that tall, he's just tall for a Japanese man. He's only about 6'1. Most people in my family are taller than he is, both women and men. In fact, as you've just given us your height Caleb, YOU are taller than he is. The show just makes them look huge but pretty much every guy we've seen is shorter than an average Western male.
