The shell had no inclusions in it. They said they can't merge with materials with organisms inside it. And the reason she is so fast is somewhat of a mistranslation. Rutile said she made a composite of agate and flexible shell, and that's why she is fast. That's the reason her legs are colored that way. The white is shell and the black is agate.
