@Caithan mostly because of the fact, that the Bros are convinced he's the same as gems in the show and there's no speculation about how he might be a human going on.
@Kopplex any japanese name literally means something and you don't translate person's name from the other language like this.

Kongou (金剛) literally means adamantine, so technically there's nothing wrong with the translation.

He's called Adamant in the manga. However, the characters are clearly pronouncing "Kongo" when they say his name in the anime.

Why is this bad? is it just a random name? Is Kongo his name in the manga? If so why would they name him adamant?

im also pretty sure that 84 and 33 are not two bodies with one mind i think there just twin gems the echoed voice thing with sisters or twins is done in anime for cute factor all the time

I'm just using common sense. Our memories are stored in our brains, but you can never know what data could be damaged by brain trauma. Phos only forgot about one of the gems even after losing so much mass... maybe it was blank space? Maybe they were just small random words and concepts that nobody will likely notice? We don't know, but many of the brothers's speculations comes from wanting something dark happening in the background

Am I the only one, who wants to strangle the subber, that though translating Kongo's name into adamant is a good idea? The suffering is immense...

I agree with Dirak2012, that so far the bros are assuming a lot of things about memory as well as Adamant purely based on the voice actor and his previous roles. Please don't assume plot stuff based on production and voice actors of the anime!

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions that the anime hasn't given us any reason to make. There isn't anything in the anime to suggest that Rutille or Adamant do not possess a method or ability to target the inclusions that contain specific memories. :/

The whole obsession of the brothers with the memory thing needs some rethinking. Think about the inclussion as a hard drive, as a HD it stores data at random, there is no way to find or remove specific memories... so when they lose any part, there is no way to know what they did forget. So the whole thing about removing or altering memories is not really a thing.

I think the only thing that surprised me in the discussion, is that I don't remember hearing the line from Adamant at the end of the episode referenced. He says "You poor thing" as he destroys the lunarian sunspot. That was interesting to me, and I would assume to the brothers as well. If I missed it, that's on me, obviously :)

The reaction of the gems about "love" is just japanese embarrassment and typical "it's not right to show your feelings" Phos was just too candid for all of them. You can see that the doctor is a big tsundere.
