This episode along with 22, 24, and 38 are the ones I'm looking most forward to in this part. Anyone who's seen the show knows why those specific episodes most of all. So this is the first episode that I've been super hyped for them to see.

Watching this part over really drives that theme about "it could be anyone" home. Gives me a weird sense of retroactive fear. Additionally, it has the nice benefit of the villain not giving a God damn about our heroes, because why would he? At the time, it must have been a refreshing break from other mangas' villains (including some of Araki's) who do nothing but plot the destruction of the protagonists all day. "Now, you're doomed. MWAHAAHAHAHAH!" and so on. Plus, I don't know if they talk about it, but he's in the first OP as well. When the silhouettes of Stand users race by, he's in the middle taking a perfectly normal, noncombative stance. Like you said: inconspicuous and normal, just how he likes it.

Another cool thing to mention, you actually saw Kira in previous episodes, he is just standing in groups in the background, just like a normal person, not really being noticable and just looking normal. goes perfectly with the themes

So now I can finally talk about this, Part 4 was originally conceived in a time where there wa sa wave of violent crime in small suburban japanese towns, like the one Araki was living in and Araki found this very interesting how people would go on their daily lives like normal despite knwoing that any one of the people around them could be one of these murderous criminals. Maybe this morning at the store the man who gave you your change killed someone the day prior, you dont know and yet, you dont really care, and Araki found this fascinating and wanted to explore it in combination with Stands. So you get Part 4, a slice of life daily shenanigans story with people living in a small quiet town and everyone around you could be a Stand user. Kira is the embodyment of this concept, a Killer, murdered 8 times the national average of people and he just works an office job, people interact with him daily like there is nothing wrong, its a scary thought to be sure.

Hi guys I love your stuff and am so excited to see you react to all the twists and turns. But you do misunderstand something important it was explained in part 3 that the joestara got there stands through the arrow and Johnathans body but people like Polnareff, Abdul, and Iggy had their stands naturally no arrow required. Rohan is like them he was just to young to use it back then.
