The anime is based of the old show Gridman the Hyper Agent and that show was brought to the US and named Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, those two together make the name SSSS.Gridman.

2019-07-09 17:05:05 +0000 UTCI don't know if this is another small reference to Eva but on Hibike's doorbell there is "NewPinPon" written on it, and on Ayanami's doorbell in Eva there is "PinPom" written on it Also Hibike's apartment number is 402, and Ayanami's apartment number in Eva is also 402 (.... just something I noticed)
