But with Conny, we see her dead body, with Sister Krone, we see her dead body, with Norman, we haven't seen his dead body. Rather he's dead or alive for x reason here, he'll be "gone" for the others, so for them, he is dead. As I've learned a long time ago from watching anime: If you don't see a dead body, you have a very logical reason to believe said person is alive. But again, I haven't read the manga, so can't be entirely sure on that. But just a very logical guess.

Personally, I really didn't like that part about bros reaction, as they basically hand-waved Norman's death with "naah, there's no way he's dead, he figured out how to open up a gate to another dimension and escaped!" Oh well, there's next episode still, some hope remains.
