We're coming up on the end of The Promised Neverland!! As such we'll be getting this poll done in advance so we all know what's coming next.
This poll has no specific theme, but everything here has been HIGHLY requested!
Vote for ANY AND ALL that you would like to see. We always take note of which shows get 2nd/3rd place. Whichever gets the most votes we will release early access reactions on the Sunday when TPN's final episode goes public.

I hope they'll watch it sometime, but I'm not dying to see them watch it as much as I was when it first appeared on a poll a few months back.

It certainly is far above any typical 'seasonal isekai trash'. I personally found it much more engaging then slime which I still don't quite understand why people loved it so much (nothing against it though)

On the subreddit of this show when it was airing I personally witnessed some comments with pretty high karma along the lines of "it would so satisfying if they somehow implied that these innocent kids were sold off into the sex slavery". It's honestly unbelievable how this kind of cesspool can be created around any show. And of course there is enormous mob of rabid fanatics who try to justify everything from the LN be it authors' horrible writing or really fucked up morality. And I don't even hate isekai genre, overlord is just a really bad example of it.

No one ever claimed the show was revolutionary, and it doesn't have to be to be worth a watch, but claiming it is outright worse than most other Isekais is comedic.

And I'm not considering Shield Hero as the best thing ever, by the way, it's pretty good for what it is, but there are way better shows out there. My main point of contention is that in isekai sub-genre it is pretty high up there, if you line up all the alternatives, that's all I'm saying.

Vinland is so much more than just a "medieval show with good production", it has engaging characters, great pacing, a gripping story, and so far the anime is giving it a stellar production. Everyone should be excited for it, and I'm glad it's winning.

A fine medieval show with good production. Dr. Stone is the same from this season, there's nothing really amazing in it, but the amount of hype surrounding it... Shingeki no Kyojin is the only exception I can think of, where the hype in the west was all over the place and I can say it was a fucking great show.

The genre is fantasy as it has been for centuries and it will remain that way. So why should he restrict himself to only Isekais? If he want's to compare shows he should just stick with the same genre and looking at fantasy animes we have on the list that is miles better then Shield Hero. Even though I wouldn't consider Demon Slayer a "good" show (cause it has it's weaknesses), it certainly is way better than Shield Hero. You can brainstorm a lot of cliches and then bet money that this cliches is going to be in this show. Sometimes you have shows where the characters think it's a game, but the world is cruel and proves them wrong. In Shield Hero it's vice versa: The character's are super serious saying this is not a game, while the world around them is a joke and completely unserious. No characters are dying, no consequences for any action. The most brutal thing that happened was the renaming of characters to Bitch and Trash.... This is ridiculous. Shield Hero saying: "Its not a game" with a serious face is really laughable with the amount of plot armour in this show. The world around them is literally just a game with stupid NPC around them and standard game mechanics.

And even if what you say is true, there aint nothing wrong with liking kids show, take Gravity Falls and Star vs as examples. I assume you didn't like Slime given that it is definitely for a younger audience and, in my opinion, much duller than Shield

And so far, the adaptation for Vinland has been excellent, though we have no way of knowing if it'll continue being great. But a story this good deserves my vote, even if the anime won't be perfect.

Slime was an ok show that had a nice start and gradually went downhill, its main failing being that it tried to be conflict-centric yet failed to make the protagonist feel in any way threatened. As the novelty wore off, the protagonist being a walking plot device that can pull a solution to just about any problem out of his gelatin ass just made each problem less of a credible threat than the last and thus less interesting. Overlord is more akin to One-Punch Man when it comes to how it handles its fights. While I will be the first to admit that the CG quality dropped precipitously after season 1, CG quality is far from the be-all-end-all of a series. Overlord isn't a battle shonen, its strength lies in its story, world building, comedy and character interactions, which are great. Having better eye candy would've been nice, but the poor CG quality doesn't hurt the series as much as it would've an anime who's main draw is how it depicts teenage protagonists with spiky hair exchanging energy blasts/sword swings with the villain of the week. As for why people are saying SoS won't like it, my best guess is that they're salty because they feel betrayed by the drop in CG quality and can't bring themselves to see the series for what it is past it, kind of like how a huge chunk of the anime community is dead set on hating on One-Punch Man season 2 regardless of its merits simply because it didn't match the production quality of season 1 and thus betrayed their expectations. My other theory is that some people simply feel they need to hate on it because it's a popular isekai. Either way, I believe they're dead wrong.

I don't think it'll happen with Vinland but you never know. None of the others are good (except Maid dragon, but Jacob's already seen it and it isn't a good "reaction show" as is)

Other than that...I don't know. I haven't watched their Slime reaction, but I can imagine the darker version of that reaction for Overlord.

It's an interesting premise and show but once the originality wears off it's just alright. Really surprised it's doing better than Yaiba considering it's one of the best shonens in a while and how well and popular both the anime and manga are doing right now.

Maybe I'm just weird, but it's one of the few anime that I see everyone loving and I'm the only one who doesn't like it. I really hope Vinland Saga or Kimetsu no Yaiba win. As much as I love Demon Slayer and Ufotable (and boy do I love me some Ufotable+ really enjoy the Kimetsu Manga for what it is), however I'm kinda on the boat of waiting on how long till we get a S2 and also how the whole Tax fraud Issue with Ufotable is gonna unfold. Also hoping we see Run with the Wind one day on some Polls. I know that they are reacting to Ippo right now and Haikyuu S4 soon, but they would be in love with the show for sure :)

I understand if you disagree, but passing up on Miss Kobayashi's, the best comedy of 2017, and Demon Slayer which has gorgeous visuals feels wrong. Shokugeki is probably bias as it was my first real shounen (tended to avoid them up until that point), but Shield Hero presents such real emotion rare for an isekai. Maybe I just don't get it but Assassination Classroom just seemed like a slice of life anime with a miss-leading title and too many characters.

AssClass has a chance because it's a very special show with long-lasting appeal, but it's still losing out to Vinland Saga by a little bit. There are plenty of amazing shows without the staying power of AssClass (but not any less good) that have gone up against current-season shows in these polls in the past and lost horribly. Anyway I know there's no perfect way to choose a new show, that's just how it is.
