Not only did he have the balls to kill supporting characters in a time when that was unthinkable in manga, but kill off the main character of a Shonen anime, something that is still unthinkable. But that's what sets JoJo's apart, as it is no ordinary shonen. It doesn't follow one character, but a series of characters. For at its core JoJo's is a generational saga, with each Part of JoJo's following the adventures of a new member of the Joestar bloodline. Johnathan was merely the starting point, and now it is time for his decedents to enter the spotlight one by one.
