thanks for this comment I always was confused why she had to go to the void. It just made me feel so bad since she had a life of many mistakes that she was not gonna be reincarnated.

I remember when this came out, on the anime site I used to frequet, there was a big debate on who "deserved" to be reincarnated and who should have been sent to the void. I think the same might happen again here, and everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I hope there's more understanding for those that end up committing suicide than there was on that site.

I think there's a simple reason she went to the void and he didn't. She didn't regret her actions, despite everything she's been through a human who deserves to go through recarination should be able to understand what they did wrong and regret it deeply. For her be recarnirated I bet Decim was looking for some sort of self sacfice from her or her deeply regretting the wrong she has done. However the boy did regret, he understood his mistakes. He deeply regretted them to the bottom of his soul, while she did not...

Looks like the two stories this time are - mother who was not available for the kids who wanted motherly love.. on the other hand.. kid who was not available for the stepmom who wanted him to be available to her as her son. Also shows blood has nothing to do with being a family. Stepmoms can be better than birth moms in certain scenarios. Ultimately both repented their actions in the end but the actions done in life is irrevocable in death

The audience are the mannequins in the bar. Just like the assistant and Decim's boss were for the first episode.

Speaking as someone with PTSD, who has been the subject of abuse as well, while she may not have been a good person, that hysterical response to being threatened definitely tells me she has massive trauma and she suffered a traumatic trigger here. Again, she isn't a good person, or a nice person, but I agree with No Name. Forcing her to react like that by pushing on untreated trauma and anger issues resulting from such seems inordinately unfair. The abused becoming an abuser is not uncommon. But she definitely stopped short of lethal harm (assuming they had not already been dead). And they had no relation that I'm aware of.

Definitely one of the more emotional episodes. Facepalmed when you thought she was his mom though. And she was in at least two abusive relationships since it showed two different men in sequence, both of whom hit her.
