yorknew is definately my fav arc apart from the "later arc" i really like yorknew ark but i dont get how some people like it more than the other one, dont get me wrong i think its epic, but as far as quantity of epicness goes the "later ark" (trying to keep it spoiler free) is epic from start to finnish

I can understand that, people are always asking "why" and "what if" and even if you're happy, you still have questions. As for Gon, I think that perhaps you could at least know about the woman who might have loved you, carried you for 9 months and since this is anime, probably died giving birth to you. I mean, at least find out what happened.Yet, I really like the explanation the SOS bros put up. It gives you a lot of interesting ideas. But parents in anime are always a weird thing. It is super rare to get parents featured to begin with, and when they do, it's usually only one while the other is completely written off as unimportant. I find this interesting since the nuclear family is so important in Japanese culture, and yet in anime they only really concentrate on the kids.

To me it felt like Gon just didn't care about his biological mother, and that's the reason why he didn't want to hear about her. It's one of the things I never understood in stories, when you have foster parents who have raised you as their own, but you'd rather go after a biological parent whom you know nothing about. Sure they gave birth to you and you have their genes, but it won't change the fact that your REAL parents are the ones who raised you with love and care.

When you say timer based do you mean just a timer and no pic or audio? Because I seriously dislike those type of reactions as I'm always off all the time and spend most of the time trying to sync properly with their timer and it takes ages and sucks the fun out of watching someone's reactions.
