It doesn't matter to me which Monster version you do. I give a bit of leeway on dubs to anime adaptations that have Western characters as the main focus and they're supposed to be speaking English anyway. That's why I actually prefer the dubbed versions of some shows like FMA or Baccano (if you haven't seen Baccano, that should definitely be considered for your next poll!). Monster is in that kind of space, so whichever you guys choose is fine with me.

Fuck yeah Monster, people who know me from Junkputty/other channels already know me as Monster fanboy so I'm super stoked for it to win. I also recommend the dub instead of sub, all the german towns and names in japanese will be the death of me^^

Somehow Monster is still in the lead... holy shit! Well, I know that I'll be in the minority here, but I would recommend you watching this show with subs. For some reason English dub changes the soundtrack, and while people say that it doesn't really affect their first viewing, you will still be missing out on music compositions that add more to the atmosphere. Most importantly though, voiceacting for some of the female and child characters is very underwhelming in comparison to the original.

Monster is a show that I watch dubbed, since the series is set in 1980-90s Germany with many of the characters being of European descent with the only japanese character being the MC. It makes more sense to see the characters speak in English (at least to me since i dont understand German). Also the Dub is really good

Wow, good for me I guess. I loved Youjo Senki and I dropped Monster after the first episode because I couldn't commit to it since I didn't have enough time. (I still want to watch it someday) So I vote for both. I win either way and watching Monster blind alongside you guys for the first time should be fun.

I hope that Monster can keep it up, but it's gonna stay close till the end. Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju being on the List and getting a good amount of Votes makes me happy. The second Season of Rakugo is tied for my number 1 AOTY with the currently airing season 2 of March comes in like a Lion. I'd highly recommend March comes in like a Lion, even though I know it's not a show I could ever see winning one of these Polls, but I just have to. The Manga is highly decorated and Shaft has done an acceptional job with the adaptation. The crazy amount of diffrent and unique art stlyes seemingly every episode, the superb direction, the soothing and tranquil OST, the loveable/despicable and almost always relatable characters with layers and layers of depth behind them and so many other incredible facttes this shows has to offer. Happy Holidays and Happy new Year to everyone and here is to another great Year of Semblance of Sanity in 2018 :)

i think they should focus on a few animes simultanously because at least hxh got some binge must arc soon. so i think atm hxh, haikyuu, jojo's and made in the abyss are totally fine to concentrate atm after deathparade ends. we have atm hxh with over 100 episodes left (at least 50 weeks we will need for it); we have with jojos 90 episodes left atm so it will last for nearly 2 years to end this with the actual pace and haikyuu have around 50 episodes more left to be up2date of anime releases. it would be more clever to concentrate on a few series instead of running 5 animes at the same time. and you guys willl have more time with just a few animes. especially when you start watching some episodes in arow. and i will gurantee you will do it in hxh. other wise i wont understand you guys anymore :D

There's a lot of very good shows in this poll - good for different reasons. Nozaki-kun is hilarious, light-hearted and sweet. Berserk is dark and brutal. Azumanga is wacky and funny. Rakugo is incredibly written and directed. I would give more votes to them, if only I had the chance, but since I only have one... It just has to be Monster. Even if it has the slowest pacing of any of these shows; even if it has moments that are presented in the anime in a somewhat silly manner, contrary to the source material; even if there's a chance of you watching this show in a dub that I don't like; even if it's so. so. long. I just have to vote for this show again and again, when there's a poll. Because not only you guys shouldn't be robbed of the experience that is this story, but also, I am hoping that this show can provide a balance to more exciting and fast-paced anime that you're watching. (edit: okay, and I may or may not be hoping for this show to get more attention through your videos, because it deserves it)

Hm, I've only seen three anime on this list (I've watched around 160 total) so I can't make a completely informed opinion. Monster is definitely my pick - really good show with some pacing issues in the middle. Anohana is good, but Jacob's already watched it and it's more fun when neither have seen the show. I was disappointed with Saga of Tanya the Evil.

I would also recommend Kemono no Souja Erin, which is a rather obscure, but incredibly beautiful anime.

I like your options and I am excited! But I would also like to suggest Ansatsu Kyoushitsu/Assassination Classroom maybe? I think that is pretty fun and I just really love some characters there lol. Aand The Seven Deadly Sins/Nanatsu no Taizai is good as well.

Frankly, while the excitement you guys bring in experiencing and commentating on new shows on a regular basis with polls like this is understandable, I would like to reiterate a point that has unavoidable support in your comment sections lately. JoJo simply can't be avoided as an option for a second weekly spot. While I and many others understand that you've expressed disinterest in a second spot for the show, at the rate you're continuing on it, it will likely finish in mid to late 2019. This is less than ideal and speaking as someone who has watched all of it, I HIGHLY advise against it purely because this weekly one episode format will be to the detriment of your experience with the show and the viewers of your commentary. I won't say as to why, but I think many of the people who watch your JoJo content, myself included, know that stagnating the viewing of the show is ill advised in the later seasons and can attest to that. I don't expect anything to come of this content except an understanding of mine and, if the large viewership of your JoJo content compared to other shows is evidence of anything, many others desire for a second JoJo slot for the benefit of your viewing of it and the community's viewing of your commentary. I realize you've both probably seen this in your comments enough but it rings true as you get to the end of this first season and I think should be taken into account as a sentiment held by a large portion of your viewership.
