I've thought a lot over the years about how easy it is to say "I would do this" in an extreme event. I like to think I'd do the right thing, be the good person. But I can't know. We have so many issues that we're all constantly struggling with, and when these issues go up against other peoples', we never know precisely how that chemical mix will play out. Will it create something beautiful, or something volatile? Even if we've already passed that test once, will we pass it again on another day in different circumstances?
With all this in mind, how is it that our judgements can include the void as often as they do? What a final and definitive end to such ever-changing souls.

I think I could hear Caleb tearing up a bit near the end of the episode. All I can say is: same here, man )':
This was by far one of my favourite episodes. I'm so glad Death Parade was written out as it was, to get you thinking in a way that doesn't force you to believe one thing over another. That part where Tatsumi likened his disgusting actions to being what Decim has been doing this entire time was both a horrifying reveal yet completely relatable, as all of us have probably judged someone like that before even just in our minds.

Ok, I was able to watch it using Canadian proxy. But it is blocked for half of Europe by Nippon TV.

There's also an OAV called Death Billiards which was made back in 2013 which was the reason Death Parade was made. It fits into the timeline if you want to watch it but it's not necessary.

I really liked seeing the psychological elements in this story (especially since I took some classes on it) I was sad when Shimada chose vengeance over seeing his sister again but ultimately his vengeance blinded him with what he truly wanted, to stay with his sister so she's never alone and protect her from any more harm.

Even if you had to mute it for copyright reasons, i would have loved to see your initial reaction to him finally pushing him over and striking down...oh well. Still a merry christmas!

Humanity at its core is sick and twisted. However, I would not say that this is necessarily a bad thing. We have survived this long because we are ruthless.
