the beefy muscular men of jojo do come from a source of araki being inspired by 80s muscle heros like stallone and schwarzenegger, moreso being about powerful men, but I think it can be spun as fan service since araki has more fun with poses, positioning of characters and fashion on male characters than any other shonen ive seen (though feel free to correct me). :^)

Well, talking about the fanservice, at first it might come as unattractive mostly because of the peculiar artstyle, but when one gets used to it, can start to find the JJBA men really attractive. That being said, I think a lot of ladies like these characters not only because of their looks, but also because of their personalities, bc let's be honest, the JJBA characters have THE charisma. From PART II for example, I love Caesar, and since I'm used to the artstyle I dont really find him being derpy or weird looking, but handsome (?). Anyway, good reaction guys! Looking forward of what's left of this journey!

The message I'm getting is that Joseph knows she herself feels really down about the wounds & leaving Lisa Lisa. So he kinda does that as his way of cheering her up - though probably not as good as a way as he might think. As for the fan service part, I do think it's really bad (what Jacob seems to suggest). And the defence that "they do fan service using men too" is really weak. Even when the show does show naked men, it's usually used for some reason (like showing their muscles for fight), but Lisa Lisa's scene is just unnecessary.

meh, Joseph's playful tone was enough for me to still understand that it wasn't an insult/was somewhat sarcastic, and besides, it does kind of fit with the rest of Joseph's antics/personality.

Jojo didn't say "Heal those ugly wounds". What he said was like "Heal those wounds covering all over your body until then“. I have to say translators for this anime were incompetent because they didn’t(or couldn’t) translate so many lines correctly. I’m not saying they need to translate perfectly because it’s sometimes impossible because Japanese as a language differentiates and recognizes things differently from English. but at least they mustn’t change important aspects and elements of lines. There has been sooo many mistranslations or  inappropriate translations so far but I haven’t pointed out because they were not crucial ones. But this one was too much... This kind of poor translations can make people misunderstand characters’ personality or change the way they perceive the atmosphere of the show. I know pointing this out now will not deal with the problem at a fundamental level but...😓

The reason alot of the characters look similar to part 1 characters is actually a result of the editors at the time. Since Araki killed off and aged so many characters in a time where most manga were recognized by an easily recognizable character design alone (e.g. Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star), the editors wanted people to recognize the new characters at a glance so they would recognize Part 2 as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and not as an entirely new manga.
