Yeah, I gotta confess, this episode confused me for a bit - specifically how Chise conjuring up those tarantula hawks was a bad thing. I've kinda figured that maybe what she did was against the mages' "unspoken code" of only relying on other living beings to produce spells and magical effects. Or that maybe, by materializing living beings out of nothing, she was breaking some other unspoken rules that mages abide by and doing more of the "sorcerer" type thing - that is, breaking the laws of reality by generating something from nothing. But yeah, would love to hear anyone else's thoughts on the subject.

Which thinking about it, it's also a case of instead of a witch trying to regain her youth, its actually Chise trying to live to become old (the whole 'she has three years' thing).

2018-02-02 22:37:07 +0000 UTCThe regeneration repelling bullets did work - he couldn't regenerate his injuries, but he cannot die, which is why he can't stay down. You can see where he tries to push his arm back into the stump, despite it not healing/reconnecting, and his face continues to bleed from the bullet to the brain.
