Moderators, please let Caleb and Jacob know not to watch next arc's opening, as it starts to become pretty spoilery! One suggestion is that they let the opening play (for synch reasons), but look away or smth like that. The ending is whatever imo, nothing really to worry about.

Actually and it's a SPOILER from the MANGA, C is wrong, as Nen doesn't have to disappear after death of it's user. It can even grow stronger. Chrollo was even using one ability he's stolen from a person who's dead.

I extract the following definition from the "hunterxhunter wiki", hoping this could help: Enhancement is the ability to use aura to increase the natural abilities of an object or one's own body. Transmutation means a person can change the properties of their aura to mimic something else, or only specific attributes. Altering the shape of one's aura falls in this Nen category too. Emission means that a user has an easier time separating their aura from their body. Conjuration is the ability to create a physical, independent, material object out of one's aura. Since this object is aura itself, can be conjure and dispel as the user wants, or can be making invisible with In. Manipulators allow the user to control living or non-living things in a certain way (and manipulate the aura itself)

if u look at the sentences it makes no sense if you insert screenwriters for writers, since they had nothing to do with what caleb was praising there. those little details, like neon not knowing her own fortunes? yeah, applauding the screenwriters here makes no sense, sry...

Hmm, interesting, since I'm an anime-only fan I didn't really know all this. However, if this is so, for part C, does that mean Owl is still alive? He used his ability this episode, but I was sure they killed the guy after Chrollo stole the ability. Interesting.

You know you can refer to both right? The screenwriters and the original writer. Perhaps in Jojo they were talking about the original writer and here they are talking about the screenwriters. They are not mutually exclusive.

I sent them a message on discord explaining it, and Jacob saw it, so I think they should have a better idea now. The next episode or two may seem like they're still confused though, because they probably record a couple episodes ahead.

The brilliance of the teamwork of Silva and Zeno, The final moment before Zeno catches Chrollo, he looks away from Silva and Silva busts out a large amount of Aura, which distracts Chrollo from Zeno. A reasonable and plausible reason for a fight to end like that. Chrollo did not make a mistake, there was no way he could keep track of both Zoldycks since Silva was always coming from his blindspot. This is GREAT scripting.

Well to help you clearing up you point on what they said before, look up their reaction of episode 49 at 36:06 . There says jacob clearly that he thinks that chrollos nen ability is stealing other peoples nen or techniques.

I'm guessing he's talking about the series script writers. While Togashi did do the original material and even if it was taken word for word, you still would need script writers to adapt it for the screen which is a totally different medium than manga is. It's why the film industry makes a distinction between Original and Adapted Screenplay. They would still say "writers" in reference to the show who are separate from the writer of the original material that is being adapted.

Can I explain the basic differences between nen types to them? I feel like alot of their discussions around nen powers are cut off by them not understanding the differences between things like manipulators and transmuters.

Silva wasn’t worried about the poison fyi. They don’t work on Zoldycks Also the troupes build up is definitely Chrollo’s build up as you said. He’s definitely the strongest of them all. The only member I’d say is close to him is Feitan and then Hisoka below him in 3rd

Guys chrollo doesn't copy techniques, he steals ​them. This specifically refers to him stealing the HATSU (the ability) of the opponent he is targeting
