@Damiester It's literally addressed for the very first time in the arc immediately following this one. Yes, it's a spoiler. It does not lead to that conclusion, it's a spoiler, and your opinion about whether it is or not isn't relevant. If it HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED IN THE CONTENT SO FAR, IT IS A SPOILER. it doesn't matter whether you think they would "spoil plot or storyline." A spoiler is a spoiler is a spoiler. And given that Jacob and Caleb CAN NOT READ THE COMMENTS DUE TO ALL THE SPOILERS, yeah, there's a need to call out spoilers when people are spoiling. They don't want to know. They're the reactors, not you. Respect their preference to not be spoiled.

The explanation about Gyo being used on other body parts is not a spoiler. Wing never said it was specifically a technique on the eyes. In fact, the explanations Wing gave would lead to the natural conclusion that it could be used on other areas. Ko on the other hand is a spoiler. Either way, none of these explanations would actually spoil any plot or storyline. At the very most, they might be less surprised or confused about certain details. There's no need to be too anal about spoilers.

Yeah that video is amazing! Though since it goes so in depth it is log and might have a few spoilers from things they have yet to see. So maybe ask a mod if they could screen it first. As to determine when in the story they could watch it without being spoiled.
2018-02-15 21:27:16 +0000 UTC
They're literally spoilers from things later on that have not been revealed yet, that you CLEARLY didn't realize while being condescending and also wrong. Do not argue with me about what is or is not a spoiler. Ko has NOT been mentioned yet. it's a spoiler. Even Gyo not just being for the eyes is a spoiler, because it hasn't been revealed yet. Don't compound spoiling with also trying to talk down to me.

The characters of hunter x hunter do feel very human, and it's one of my fave aspects of the show. The villains especially are excellent, I could talk forever about how much I love the villains of this show lol. Also, I love hearing your thoughts on the characters!!

Gyo is to focus it somewhere turning it into Ko except when used on the eyes which is just "Gyo".

No it's not. Gyo is a Nen technic to focus aura to specific parts of your body. When you apply Gyo to your eyes you can see aura even if it's "invisible" but you can also apply Gyo to other body parts to get different effects.

As to how Killua and Kurapika did their switch without the troupe noticing, its not 100% clear but its easy to assume that Kurapika Gon and Killua were all using Zetsu from the start. So the troupe wouldn't know the difference between the nen of Kurapika and Killua since they never sensed much or any amount of nen in the first place. Its safe to assume that they simply thought the killing intent they felt was Killua. Even when Gon and Killua were first tailing them they could sense they were being followed, but not anything more than that. Although people can be identified by their nen, its difficult to ascertain specific information like "who" or "where" when Zetsu is involved. So although Zetsu doesnt necessarily hide you completely from the senses of people as skilled as the troupe it does give you the ability to hide your identity.

Gyo only lets you see nen in the same way regular sight lets you see light. Gyo doesn't go through walls. On top of the fact that gyo lets you see nen, everyone also has a general "i can sense your energy" type passive ability thats just innate to nen users, much in the same way in dragonball everyone can sense your power level or whatever. The reason the phantom troupe didn't see Kurapika is simply because they were to late to react. They sensed they were being followed because of Kurapikas malice (literally) and then they turned to see who was following them, Kurapika and Gon reacted so quickly to this that the troupe was able to see them, and where they hid, but not for long enough for them to see what they looked liked. The brain processes movement much more quickly than it does detail, and Kurapika and Gon simply moved just fast enough to sit right between the time it takes for the brain to differentiate between motion and detail.

It is correct. Ko is a technic to focus all of your aura(100% of your aura) to specific parts while Gyo is a technic to focus some of your aura(bigger than 0% smaller than 100%) to specific parts.

Gyo is the ability to see aura, including aura hidden with In. Aura can usually be sensed unless In is employed, hence the use of gyo.
Zetsu is completely shutting off aura (eg Kurapika's chain jail) so it avoids use of gyo against them.

Nen abilities often reflect their user in some way, Chrollo's ability is stealing techniques because he doesn't have an identity of his own. His meteor city origins and his response to Gons question here are examples. (im pretty sure this is confirmed btw)

btw Gyo is a technic to focus aura to specific parts of one's body(not necessarily eyes).
