bennydelon

I'm so happy that you like Fukurodani's number 4!! :D He's one of my absolute favourites (I have a lot of favourites x'D) and you'll see why in coming episodes!

Johanna Gustavsson

Well, yeah, pronoun of "Lev" in English is a bit off, but it's still closer to the correct one. I cringe a lot less, compared to Japanese variant ;) Here you can listen to how the name sounds in the Russian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lev_Tolstoy and there's no "i" sound there.

For clarification: Lion =Лев; russian letter “e” = “yeh”; russian letter “э”= “eh”

Ira Ramirez

Sorry but as far as I know it IS “Liev”. In Russian you’d write it Лев, and the russian letter “e” is pronounced “yeh”. It would be pronounced “Lev” if it was written “Лэв” but that’s just wrong.

Favourite funny moments in Haikyuu? Oh boy, where to even start, but Kuroo's maniac laugh, and Suga's derp face from season 1 are up there. My two absolutely favourite moments are yet to come though, but they are in this season :)

EvAnn

i love how excited you were about bleach haired guy xD could probably say he is my number one favorite right next to some others xD

VinterSvart

Haha, yep! Don't know why Japanese have this need to make foreign names so difficult for them to pronounce. Like they don't have letters L and V in their language in the first place. But maybe that's exactly why...

EvAnn

Watch the ova about how Kageyama and Hinata will get there in Tokyo. So excited for you guys to meet the Owls and the other teams as well. Also, Tsukki’s character development will be showcase as well but not yet fully flesh out. Also, beware on the next episodes, it will be a gut wrenching one! Prepare your hearts! Involving Kageyama and Hinata. HEY HEY HEY!!!!!! I think u will like him!!!

cassherms

one of my favorite funny moments was tanaka praying - that had dying! & when Suga did his derp face in season 1 sliding the door close.

A Russian here to clear things up a bit :”D Lev’s name Лев is actually pronounced with “e” as in “ah YEah” lmao (and L is soft ofc); in Japanese it’s リエーフ (Riefu) which barely resembles the original pronunciation. As for the dorky moments... There’s so many it’s too bloody difficult. Still can’t get over Suga’s derp face or Kageyama’s and Hinata’s derp bodies in Shiratorizawa, also Tanaka’s role play where he was acting like his imaginary girlfriend :”D Kuroo’s laughter truly is legendary. But yeah, I would call all these little things in Haikyuu one of the reasons why a) characters feel so well fleshed out and written even without much screen time, b) Haikyuu is so incredibly engaging to watch, c) it was an enormous rewatching value. As for the manga, one of the major reasons it’s so funny is Furudate’s hilarious expressions and sometimes tiny derp bodies which seriously make me wheeze with laughter. Mangaka’s sense of humor is simply superb, and thankfully most of it makes it to the anime. Another interesting thing I’d like to point out is how you spoke about those “little things in the background” - that’s actually how it works in the Haikyuu stage plays, and again, it’s one of the reasons why you can rewatch those over and over again and never get tired of it. There’s always something, no - So Many Things happening in the background, you can’t possibly watch everything at once, and no matter how many times you rewatch (and I rewatched each like 5 times /at least/ with close attention cause I sub them), you still find new things to laugh at. And it’s incredible, I really love that they keep it even in the theatre medium. Thanks for an interesting discussion!

"what if they tried to blackmail the principal" me: *peering at OVA2 where vice principal got bullied by Hinata-Kageyama*

kingdommaerchen

Hey hey hey my boy!

VinterSvart

Kuroo's laugh has pretty much achieved legendary meme status at this point

Shinka

I know! Haha, isn't that funny!? I was like... no guys... you had it right the first time...

Tammi M

Man, I am telling myself to skip a month of these just so I can watch them all at once BUT I know (like this one) it's too difficult to stay away so I'll be back next week lol. You can't ask a question like that guys, I literally will end up describing the whole episode. The car ride was funny, Kuro's laugh... Lev holding his hand up and Hinata jumping at the challenge only to hit his head... There's too much goodness in this series. I was gonna bring up a point but man, this show is too feels-good that I can't even remember what I was gonna say haha. Great reactions, and see you next week!

Tammi M

Mods, please, save us! "Liev" is the result of funky engrish, Lev is the correct pronunciation.

Minashiro Soushi

Just a quick fyi, there is another ova between this episode and last episode.
