If somehow, A Place Further Than The Universe doesn't get 22 more votes by the end of the day (to overtake YLiA), please consider it as a replacement for Devil Is a Part Timer!, like someone suggested above. If you look at this thread, there are so many of us who'd really love for you to watch it, and we're still vocal about it even in the last day of the poll!

"I could just die" -- if that was a reference, then I see what you did there ;) Yeah, I agree. It's been so long since I watched a show that personally resonated with me. I've watched plenty of recent shows that have been emotionally powerful (like Made in Abyss), but the situations they're put in are so specific and brutal, it's not something a normal person could relate to. I mean, I sympathize with the characters, but I don't necessarily empathize with them. Meanwhile, I think most people could relate to wanting to do something more with their lives instead of letting the years pass by. I seriously just want to pack up right now, book a flight, and travel somewhere, dammit. Or do something I haven't done before. Go to Antarctica. That's how this show made me feel. Inspired. And that's how I want the brothers to feel.

A place Further Than The Universe was just breathtaking! I mean, there were episodes that left me utterly speechless - episodes my sister and I were so kicked in the feels that we turned to each other bawling XD SO much laughter, so many tears... At times I felt like I could just die. 'April is really a fantastic anime BUT 'Universe is an insta-fav for me - it put me in a show-hold state and I haven't watched any new anime since finishing it. Okay this is way too long lol. I really hope they watch this at some point.

Eeh? Really? Because for me it's exact opposite: reaction is at around 80%, while the discussion part is somewhere around 60% of what I usually get. Mostly, because in the discussion I don't really care about the "ooooh, that moment, when A did B, was so good!" part. And in rest of it Jacob can't really say anything, except going "well, I don't know, maybe it is, maybe it isn't ;)", because he knows where the show is going, all the major points and twists. I can't say, that such reactions are bad or terrible, but they are tangibly worse, then the usual, "blind", ones.

Because of the way Netflix handled the US release of Violet Evergarden, I guess not many people have seen it. I would expect it to have way more votes than it does now, if more people saw it.

Seriously, I can't overstate how above average A Place Further Than the Universe is. Every episode is consistently good. There isn't a low point.

Reminder: Jacob has seen Anohana and Your Lie in April. Lets give the boys something neither has seen. Rakugo is probably one of the best pure drama shows in the past decade. It absolutely deserves to be at the top despite my preference for another show on the list. A Place Further Than the Universe explores loss and friendship on a trek to Antarctica. There are zero bad or even average episodes. It's an amazingly gorgeous show visually, musically, and emotionally. if that doesn't sell you, it's a Madhouse original.
