When you think about it, the narrator is kind of necessary, because the whole infiltration operation lasts like, what, a couple of mins? So it's there to add to the scenes.

2018-04-27 09:51:38 +0000 UTCThe main concern i had with this arc and SOS bros was the amount of exposition with the narrator (i loved it, personally), but glad to see their hype level shoot through the roof during the end of the episode with the narrator. I'm also super relieved SOS bros quickly recognize the true highlight of this story arc is once the King comes into play because the Queen part dragged quite a bit. Of course all of it still absolutely necessary for how everything plays out. I've dreamt of watching this arc with them for a long time now! P.S. One awesome point that wasn't brought up is : Upon finishing GI, you are allowed to bring back 3 restricted-slot cards back to the world as items. Accompany and Magnetic Force aren't restricted-slot cards. Ging predicted that Gon would exploit the loophole and use Paladin's Necklace to bring either A or MF back to the real world. There are a few things in this op that might be more fun for you guys to experience without seeing it. but i hope you dont go the next 40 episodes without seeing it though its really good.

What I'm saying is that not watching it until it's free of spoilers is their decision, because they don't want any help making predictions. Caleb explained it in a voice chat.

That's why when Mito gave Gon the Black box when he came back to whale island with Killua, he stopped saying father, but rather starting calling him by name, and ever since then he calls him Ging not father.

But personally like I said, a lot of the buildup was character focused with a lot of characters introduced. And considering I liked Gon and Killua but I didn’t love them. It just didn’t hit home with me cause I just felt I didn’t want to see some of these characters on screen. It was a fantastic arc story wise but my favourite was the one with Allucka. I really liked her character and the whole illumi, Killua dynamic. So it’s not like the chimera ant arc didn’t pay cause I watched till episode 100 then skipped to the climax. Finished the series. Then restarted the chimera ant arc again later and watched it in its entirety. My problem with the arc wasn’t anything with writing. Although I was very annoyed when the ants got nen which was a huge turnoff. But was more subjective. Like this arc was with characters I loved liked from Gintama or something else it would hit home more. And I think while this story is one of the best to come out of the Medium but isn’t as talked about as other shounen is because it’s down to the characters ( we’ll at least for me) a lot love the story but I wouldn’t say Gon is like their favourite character or something

2018-04-26 19:06:37 +0000 UTCIt's a long build up to one of the best culminations of any arc in any fiction in my opinion. I don't think you can appreciate the climax as much without the 30 episodes of build up and slow character development. It's 30 episodes of oppression and sadness.

2018-04-26 18:51:46 +0000 UTCyeah this arc takes by far the most time (i think around 60 episodes) however if you make it more that 10-15episodes trough the ark you should get super hyped for what its building up to. its one of those things where you will want to skip parts but once you get to a certain lengh you will want to go back and watch what you skipped
