Lots of great dialogue in this one and the emotions are everywhere! I won't comment any more because I don't want to risk spoiling anything. I'm so full of hype and can't WAIT, I could scream- with enthusiasm- at the top of my lungs XD

2018-07-02 05:08:26 +0000 UTCI've waited the whole week! This is a very impressive episode. They built up the tension through the whole episode and "bang" shock the audience in the last 30 seconds. I still remember the first time I saw this episode, I had the exact same reaction. Last week you talked about getting injured... and now here it comes. The next few episode will be awesome, about how Karasuno get through this. People shine when they face difficulties! And about the tournament... I suppose somehow you can predict that by op and ed. lol

It’s really good to see you being so hyped about the opening every damn time :D Btw the main line of the chorus is “Tobe fly high” (“tobe” as in “fly” on Karasuno’s banner) in case you want to sing along! And tbh it also feels cool to see you enjoy the games so much, even though the teams aren’t really familiar. “This is Not Okay on so many levels” - exactly my thoughts at 5 am as I read chapter 117 with this cliffhanger and was left with my worries for another agonizing week. It’s so cool that you liked Hana (Jouzenji’s manager)! She’s amazing, and with that little screen time she said so many important things. You’re so on spot about Haikyuu being incredibly efficient with how they spend their time on characters, especially on minor characters. It was also interesting to hear how Hana’s advice is applicable to Caleb lol. Aone waiting for Hinata was amazing. One funny thing I want to bring up: we’ve seen something similar before in season one. When Karasuno played against Aobajousai in a practice game and were about to leave the grounds, Oikawa was standing by the gates, waiting. Haikyuu voice actors had a web radio wher Oikawa’s voice actor pointed that out, the fact that Oikawa just waited for Karasuno at the gates to show off with a couple of cool phrases, and how he must’ve practiced it in advance, and that it’s just adorable. Can’t help but agree! Fans always appreciate small things, truly! It’s funny how you bring that up (fans paying somewhat too much attention sometimes), and in the next few minutes you’re already going out of your way to discuss the psychological tricks used on that Wakunan player (The Girl On The Third Row lol). That shows how well fleshed out even the minor characters are (and also why a volleyball anime has the largest numbers of fics on AO3 among all anime, if it hasn’t changed yet). Takeru family is so cool! You might not have noticed it as much yet, but Haikyuu pays more attention to families than most anime, even though it’s about sports, and that never fails to both impress me and warm my heart. Takeru’s family is a great example of that. One more thing I’d like to notice is that, if I get things right, you’re not misunderstanding the tournament rn, you seem to get the system right (glad that my explanation might’ve come in handy). So just wait and see! Aaand the rest of my notes on your reaction are way too dangerous to even bring up, so I’ll shut up now, but I really loved hearing your theories and predictions on how the tournament goes. Waiting until 2:30 am for this was so worth it. I’ll go laugh over some things I can’t mention here in the discord Haikyuu channel lol. Thanks for a great discussion!
