It's unclear whether there is hierarchy between the God Hand, but Void is implied to be the first human that became one of the angels. So that is probably why he talks with most authority.

Well they should not check any of that out before reading the manga from the beginning up til that point. Otherwise the 2016 ep1 will spoil.

This anime is an advertisement for the manga.
Meaning anything removed is solely so you will have questions.
What does that mean?

Pretty much what I quoted, yeah, but it's not an assumption; information that is key to understanding character motivations took place in that chapter, and nothing has been contradicted or repeated regarding it, and therefore it is important information. When and if Miura chooses to elaborate on what's different, if anything is different, then I can have a final assessment on that, sure, but as it stands, the story is just objectively worse without it if you remotely care about Griffith's character and motivation.

He removed it because he thought it hindered his options for story telling in the future. How about you wait till it finished (if it ever will) before you make the assumptions its worse off.

I was just asserting that it is the only chapter that answers the majority of the questions Caleb asked, and gets into Griffith's head like he wanted to know more about. In my experience, the removal of that chapter simply damages the story, and will continue to until and if Miura ever wants to elaborate on which parts of it, "Revealed too much of the story" and which parts were, "Liable to change" to paraphrase what he said about it and why he asked the Dark Horse Localization crew to not localize it. That said, it is their call, but the story is worse off without it, and it might have the only answers they can ever get, so I just can't recommend it enough.

Whether they would want to read something that the author himself wanted removed from the story at that point is up to them, I'd think.

If you do read the manga later, please read chapter 83; it answers basically every single question or misguided assertion made in this video.

Feast time. My heart can’t take another go of the next episode’s contents, but I’ll tune in next week nonetheless.
Insert “please react to &/or review the manga” comment here.

Ya see....the "grifith did nothing wrong" thing only held up till next episode for me. The behelit reality marble fuck box is about to get a whole lot crazier.

I would also recommend they re-read the manga for what's been watched already. Because there are a lot of characters and plot points that are relevant later, like a certain horse man, who just aren't in the show really

14:20-14:50 I don't think I have ever seen Caleb talk like that before, and we still have one episode to go.

Griffith said Guts was the only one to make him forget about his dream and once he came to that realization he accepted to sacrifice everyone.
I believe he does it solely to punish Guts for the rest of his life. Like there's so much sadness and irony to the whole journey. Ugh

the 4 members of The God Hand are named after classic SciFi novels: Hellraser looking narrator is Viod, after the Frank Herbert's 'Destination: Viod'; the Succubus is named Slan, after A. E. van Vogt's 'Slan'; the blue one with sunglasses is named Ubik, after Philip K. Dick's 'Ubik'; the pink one is named Conrad, after Roger Zelazny's 'And Call Me Conrad'.

Can I just point out the similarities between this episode and Macbeth? The resignation that you have done too much to go back, so you have to push forward. Brilliant.
