That last bit always gets me so emotional knowing they (Oikawa and Iwa-chan) will not be together next year. As far as I know they will not be attending the same college. That is why Iwa said that I will defeat you if we meet across the net.

2018-09-02 18:39:10 +0000 UTCFirst of all, thanks to Rhop for making this reaction happen, it’s an actual bliss :”) If anything, this scene is actually more canon than the OVA because it was written by the author of the manga as a bonus chapter for one of the volumes! Not sure if you guys remember, but they showed us Aobajousai eating (and eating ramen in particular) not just because — right in the beginning of the game, when third years told Oikawa that they believe in him, Iwaizumi added that they believe in his serves and that if he misses, he owes them ramen (and then they just started piling up orders lol), so that’s a really nice reference to that. The whole fandom was praying for these scenes to be animated, and Haikyuu just never stops giving. Such a great wrap up, absolutely amazing scene at the gym with a bit of levity at first and an actual tear fest in the end (I also really liked it how Hanamaki realized Oikawa was going to make them all emotional and tried to prevent that x). A+ voice acting really made it hit right in the feels ( ；∀；) And such an inspiring ending with Oikawa and Iwaizumi... A wonderful first bump parallel, Iwaizumi calling Oikawa “a partner I’m proud of”, repeating that he’s an amazing setter, because Oikawa does have troubles believing in that sometimes despite all his bravado, a short series of flashbacks that make one’s heart swell a little, and of course looking into the future. Friendships in Haikyuu are just so, /so/ good... “At this point we don’t care what the content is, we just want more of it” — 100% relate to this.
