You've confused two separate news articles and two different people. There were no forward time skips. The news article shown in an earlier episode that said Margot Langer was murdered was an archive of an old article from years ago and it was about the real Langer (Karl's mother), not the same article Tenma had read about the impostors murder in this episode. The prostitute Roberto killed is not Margot Langer. She was pretending to be Margot in order to swindle money out of Schuwald, remember?

The reason behind Johan's calm demeanour, not only in this episode but overall, may be because of what he said to that prostitute. he probably experienced such a fear that there is pretty much nothing that he is afraid of anymore. It's funny how you want to see what's inside the book.
