Pretty sure Gon-san is still weaker than pre-nuke Meruem, and even Netero. Look at how his arm went flying from one hit of Pitou. Meruem's still much durable due to his Chimera Ant King genes, mix that with his ridiculous Nen and he's unstoppable.

Yeah, they haven’t. I’ve listened to the full discussions on both 131 and 132, and no mention of it. I’m kinda surprised to be honest, it was a statement that carried a lot of weight both visually and vocally through Pitou’s voice actor.

Ahhh I see. That was a very well articulated and informative comment. I genuinely appreciate the time it took you to write it. It also explains what I was trying to get my head around at the time. It shows that my original question was flawed since the ranking system whilst being a good measure of strength and the significance of possible threats in the dark continent; was nonetheless inapplicable to Nen based fights of the sorts we see in HxH because they could cover things from Asteroids, to the Poor Mans Rose. Now assuming that the creatures on the ranking system follow your way of thinking (being survival threats and not enemies) then it would be impossible for anyone to answer my question because Togashi hasn't gotten there yet. Funny thing is, we did have that conversation between youpi and pouf. When pouf first noticed these changes in the king, youpi suggested something along the lines of "if she's a danger to the king we should kill her". Pouf broke down in tears over the fact that their minds operated on the same level.

Unless I have missed a part of the discussion i'm surprised they haven't talked about Pitou stating Gons power is on the level on the king while hes transforming, seem like Jacob noticed by unsure whether Caleb did as this scene is so shocking , Obviously these guys discuss almost every aspects of a situation and look as things from multiple angles but would love to hear their thought on Pitou as it indicates to Gon's potential in terms on raw power but this would be pre-nuke Meruem.

Cannot agree more memory loss stories tends to be dragged out where you want them to just get on with the main story, HxH did a great job of keeping it really interesting and suspenseful.

Even pre rose Meruem was most likely "stronger" than any creature that lives on the dark continent. Remember Netero went there in order to find someone that would be his equeal, someone that would give him his ultimate fight. But he didnt find what he was looking for there, as he said "its a fight for survival" nothing more. What he found there were things you cant fight, viruses, beings like "something" that dont fight but rather have such an unanural amount of nen that they simply kill you. While post rose Meruem could probably dominate every being on the dark continent, that only applys for the things he can actually fight. You cannot "fight" a virus. It will simply kill you. Wich is also the reason why Netero didnt find what he was looking for, but rather found it in Meruem, implying even more that there isnt something "stronger" on the dark continent than Meruem.

We didnt hit the dark continent yet so we dont know if there is anyone stronger than meruem Considering the ants came from the dark continent its not absurd to assume that there is a branch of the chimera ant race that has gone even further Maybe if we enter dark continent we find ultra chimera ants or so Wouldnt be togashis style tho (fortunately)

No. Meruem is still the strongest living thing in the series and probably always will be. There will likely never be anything as strong as him again in the series. It’s what I like about Hunter x Hunter - the next arc’s threat doesn’t need to surpass the previous arc’s like in another shonen like Dragonball or Naruto. Nen keeps things unique without feeling like the series is going backwards, and preventing stupidity like what DBS became.

Because they still reply to comments on other videos, but they made a specific rule about not reading Hunter x Hunter video comments for the exact reason that people were spoiling Nen, Meruem, Adult Gon, etc. waaay back when they were still in the 20’s. So while they still reply to comments on every other video, they said they would only read Hunter x Hunter comments passed along to them by mods until they’re done the anime.

Can the mods pass along a message reminding them that the bit about Youpi siding with Pouf was indeed foreshadowed? Way back before the invasion, Youpi spoke about how if Komugi continues to influence Meruem she should be killed. It was even highlighted in the episode comedically as it triggered Pouf, realizing he thought on the same level as Youpi. Pouf knew from the beginning that Youpi would go along with it, because he was always on Pouf’s side regarding Komugi; just not as passionate about it. Youpi followed up with this later, vowing to kill all humans upon seeing Meruem’s charred corpse.
