2018-11-16 05:36:02 +0000 UTCI usually agree with Jacob, but in this instance, I don’t think it was obvious at all that delivering the enemies message was the right course of action. Welfin didn’t know of the implications, the contest, etc. He said in the last episode that he didn’t know if the king would react kindly to him delivering a message on behalf of the enemy. There’s nothing about “The enemy is holding this girl hostage” that seems like it would cause the king to spare Welfin. That message is way colder than uttering the name of the person the king loves. I think he chose the best option, and he didn’t arrive at that option easily.

They constantly get stressed out over "anime time" - the dodgeball match during GI, Knov's breakdown in the palace, the first dozen or so times it happens in JoJo - they really should be used to it by now. This is a very severe example, though if memory serves, it comes from the same person who always gets the most upset during these scenes (Jacob). And besides that, it's just a silly meme. Caleb and Jacob may be allowed to "watch the series how they want", but others are allowed to criticize and joke, too. Though, not being shitty about it is a given; of course you're an ass if you do that.

A lot of their discussions have been misdirected due to their own preconceived notions of how the story should be written. It's less of a react and discuss than point out what differs from their expectations.

Not sure how that got interpreted, he was simply rooting for him to say the message quickly. This was before Welfin's inner monologue suggested he only had a single word to say and before it made it clear why Welfin got distracted. Sure it continued but if you watch the discussion it sounds like they underestimated how much time was being compressed during these moments, which is a perfectly reasonable mistake to make. Don't gotta be such bossy, know-it-all backseat reactors jeez...

2018-11-15 19:40:37 +0000 UTCSince no one (on the hunter team) knew Komugi's name, it was actually Pouf's fault that Welfin was able to know. If Pitou didn't use him during the phone call, no one would have known her name and this wouldn't have happened. I think what is even more impressive is that Welfin was able to remember that conversation right after he got shot multiple times and was in severe pain. Welfin is a miracle.
