Cats actually are capable of loving humans despite the stereotype of them just hanging around for food. You hear plenty of stories of cats keeping abandoned babies warm and crying out until someone finds them. Honestly I’m pretty sure that cat is just one that hangs around the school that was looking at her out of curiosity and it just wanders off after big brother shows up.
