Didn't really care much for this character at all honesty. Typical character done multiple times in series. It does serve as a good push for Yuji though which is the only thing I chalk it all up to.

I love that along with the deeper themes, you also discussed details like the cellphones being used ubiquitously as well as people like Ijichi having roles in this world. “Being a child is not a sin.” —one of my favorite lines in any anime. I don’t think that’s ever said enough, esp in shonen stories.
