2022-08-16 09:32:11 +0000 UTCI love this episode and how it has such great humor and emotion although I could say that about so many episodes of this show. I love how the start really shows Tohru as someone who truly loves to make people happy however it quickly becomes clear that it unfortunately leads her to leave her own happiness by the wayside. Also Tohru is so cute when cleaning and I say this without trying to be insulting but her being air headed (not dumb) is endearing. I find it really heartwarming but with a heavy emotional undertone that she so deeply wants the boys to their parents and I’m so glad you guys discussed. Also Saki is such a Queen with her Gothic outfits. I really appreciate and love how Tohru’s let her make her own decision but will make sure she’s okay in their own ways. Thankfully this interruption kicks their protective instinct and good natures into overdrive. The running scene is so intense and emotional and I love how you pointed out how much it feels like a season finale even though it’s only episode 8. Then the feels hit even more when we see Tohru about to cry from nostalgia/memories but thankfully she was able to have a happy new year. Finally the new years wishes scene has such a beautiful sunset.
