EARLY ACCESS Fruits Basket Season 1 Episode 9 Reaction

I have decided to dedicate this entire comment to talking about 1 of my favorite secondary character in the show. I personally do not think any character is a side character in the traditional sense because every character at least to some degree is important. He is a very humorous character but even with that there is a lot of emotion with Haru. I love his dual personality of peaceful/passive and violent/active especially the difference in the voice acting tone. His interactions with Kyo are comedy gold especially when he starts being more sexual towards Tohru although I honestly think it was just to fuck with Kyo. Haru being the Ox zodiac member fits with the stubborn as an ox saying especially his dark personality although it taking the form of a cow is hilarious. Also forgot but him having a bad sense of direction is really humorous. I love his friendship with Yuki and how there are people there for Yuki and Kyo even with all the drama and real abuse going on with the Soma family. It’s interesting that a major part of his past issues are because of a buildup of anger that unfairly was directed at Yuki and how it connects to his “dark” side. The words Yuki spoke to him that helped so much shows how thoughtful Yuki is even with some hints of what’s going on with himself. Finally the scene where Tohru calls him Yuki is really funny, cute and can be seen as shipping fuel if you want it to. In conclusion Haru is 1 of the funniest characters besides Shigure in the show in my opinion. Great reaction and keep up the great work. :-) <3

HAHAHA I relate so hard to the "not looking your age" discussion. I am 29 years old, but I'm short and I have a round face, and I often get mistaken for a teenager. The last time I went to the airport (pre-pandemic), security almost didn't let me through the x-ray machine and they were like "you have to be older than 15 to go through, can I see your ID?" omgggggg. I looove Haru!! This show is just absolutely awesome. I think the first couple episodes might paint this anime as being a very cliche romance show with cliche characters, but as the show goes on there is great character backstory and development, great comedy, and great drama. It's so much more than your stereotypical romcom anime. So glad you guys are enjoying the show.
