2021-09-16 17:08:41 +0000 UTCso the manga is mostly SOL comedy, and the anime's BIGGEST issue by far, is that it basically just speerduns through all the dramatic moments, and skips most of the in between stuff that helps you really get to know the characters. That's also why the anime has some weird pacing where characters act seemingly odd considering certain events or interactions that had JUST happened, because the anime doesn't portray very well that there's sometimes days, weeks, or even months between the events it shows, because they skipped so much in between. I think the anime is a really good companion to the manga, but it must feel really odd at times for some anime onlies (not all, but I've definitely seen a fair few people that found the pacing off putting).
