Iura was more prominent in the manga up to this point so no wonder it confused anime only people when he was suddenly focused on this episode, which kind of sucks especially when anime cuts out screen time for certain characters. I'd recommend reading the manga, there's a lot cut out and you'd probably appreciate the characters more. Also the manga is a lot more like this episode, very episodic with no real story line that goes back and forth between characters.
