B-but I wanted to shitpost... UwU After doing some thinking I think I nailed it. I'm not bothered by this naming convention at this point, in fact, it only bothered me only at the time very first episode of Kabuki went up. At that moment you bet I was pissed and yelled a bunch of certain words out loud. But that was it, there was nothing to be done about it. dh2am's question basically brought me back to that exact moment, so, naturally, the desire to vent a bit came up and I took a jab at a hypothetical person responsible for this dumb (from my point of view) decision. And, you know, it made me feel better, like, "yeah, got 'em" kinda thing. Oh, before I forget, there was a way to avoid it. Kind of. "Monogatari Second Season Episode 17: Onimonogatari part 1" sure looks like a mouthful, but still.

2019-11-30 21:03:18 +0000 UTCthere is no way to make everyone happy here, because by SS ep count the people who don't have access to the broadcast version or use the bros version would be lost. it's got nothing to do with elitism, but if anything the lazyness of the ease of acess era where even reading a video description is too much work for people. all in all thank you for doing the SS2 ep count thing, but pls don't assume things that acuses people unrightfully

2019-11-29 09:40:26 +0000 UTCEm, I always go with how things aired originally. Hanamonogatari is a 120 min TV special episode and is it's own separate thing. Same as Tsukimonogatari and Nekomonogatari (Kuro).

Something about what your doing comes off as way more pretentious than the Bros naming their videos after the story name

I suspect, that the series expert from discord told them something like "this is the proper way, to show the respect for series, as the arcs were named this way in the source material". To me this seems like the most pretentious shit ever, but okay, I'm not without faults myself and basically a TV-purist in this sense.
