if anyone is hit on the chin hard enough, the brain bounces in the skull side to side causing them to be knocked down. it's not that Thorkell has a glass jaw, Thorfinn used a full power KICK to his chin, that was enough to knock him down. if thorfinn just punched him on the chin with some power, it probably wouldn't be enough

Thorkell is Thorfinn's great uncle. His older brother is Helga's father. And Floki isn't the leader of the Jomsvikings. That's still Sigvaldi, Thorfinn's grandfather.

Thorfinn didn't hit him in the temple- Thorkell has a glass jaw. Because of all his previous injuries, he can be knocked out easily with a blow to the jaw/side of the head, but that isn't usually a problem for him because he's so damn tall.

In case you guys didn't know, Thorkell has the same voice actor as Uvogin. There's only one guy that can do that booming, bestial voice and it's that dude haha.

f you mean commercial TV ratings they are negligible as Vinland (like most anime) sits in a late night spot. I saw 1.6% for Nov. There are no perfect indicators of show popularity in Japan. Blu-ray|DVD sales are the traditional barometer but they are increasingly less relevant as Streaming becomes widespread. Vinland hasn't sold those yet (first discs out in Dec 25). If I had to guess, I don't think the series is doing well at all financially, and highly doubt it'll get more seasons unless Amazon is financing handsomely. Vinland fails to crack top 50 (if not 100) anime of the year on most Japanese fan vote rankings / MAL equivalents I've seen

Just a side note from the manga that wasn't included in this episode - before they fought, Thorkell saw a couple guards headed their way and he shooed them off to keep Thors' presence under wraps.
