one of my absolute favorite episodes of the show. its definitely a very classic jojo feel: one busted enemy defeated by completely unexpected tactics. the dnd comparisons make a whole lot of sense here because it's just pure combat. as far as how giorno could guess the snake was immune, I think it's pretty obvious: the inanimate object was literally born in the active virus. gold experience's ability is to give life, so in this context he's basically tricking his ability into creating a form of life that has the exact properties he needs at the current moment. It's similar to how josuke uses his ability, where he relied on the fact that things need to move back together when they are fixed in order to hitch a ride on the repairing objects. His power demands that a living creature be born, and thus the Stand Gods have no choice but to let it be born with immunity, because that's what is required for birth in the environment GE chose. And remember, Giorno planned to get infected anyways, so he did that in the same fell swoop as creating the snake. (doesnt matter he only touched the brick with his stand, stands get infected too)
