2020-04-26 20:17:19 +0000 UTCYeah, plus it's not really Araki's style to write a villain with an ability that literally has an instant win condition, without something else hobbling it. Even though DIO could fucking STOP TIME, he still had to be cautious using it around someone as crafty as Joseph, who thought of a pretty decent counter to it (though a flawed one). If Nero has the ability to make himself nearly invisible and can just form a razor blade in his opponents brain while they're standing around picking their nose and do so from a completely safe distance, then I think he would be unironically more dangerous than the boss, and I don't think that's the intention. It would however, explain why he's such a confident assassin. But I think he already deserves to be that confident besides.

I honestly didn't think he was that amazing when I read the manga; I think because I have trouble conceptualizing personality through text or still images. But something about the combination of the animation and the voice acting REALLY brings him to life.

2020-04-26 14:59:30 +0000 UTCi don't really agree. i think the fact that he was forced to keep his distance from a powerful close range stand is why he could only whittle him down bit by bit. probably if he laid hands on someone he could disable them completely in a few seconds and ask his questions. gonna try not to talk spoilers as much on here but if u kno the deal it makes a lot of sense that closer proximity would change the way he can slice and dice.

2020-04-26 00:37:25 +0000 UTCHere's a little tidbit that might help you understand where Doppio lies in the organization, at the end of Episode 21 we hear a call where SOMEONE (Doppio) tells Tiziano and Squalo that there are traitors in Venice. When Bruno explains the gang early on and tell Giorno that no one knows the boss except his one trusted confident that passes orders out to the capos, it's heavily implied, while never explicitly said, that that person is Doppio, also fun fact, in the Manga Araki confirms that Doppio's first name is Vinegar, and I love that for him
