A tie is so appropriate, but I never thought in a million years it would actually happen. I guess Assassination Classroom can maintain it's eternal second place AND be viewed. That is if they're going to do 2 at the same time and not have a tie breaker. Let's be real: they work for their patreon base. They have to choose shows based on popular opinion. Their base is typical Shounen fans, Granted, some are deserved (MHA, Haikyuu, Kimetsu, etc.), but several are overhyped (Jojo, Monogatari, Gridman, etc.). I don't understand why Symphogear is even in the polls. Once in a blue moon they get rare gems like Rakugo, LOGH, Violet Evergarden, etc., but these are clearly not mainstream given the views in Youtube. I prefer mature and thought-invoking shows, so i'm disappointed by their choices many times. I have many titles I wish they will consider, but they will never reach the polls. I will be disappointed again if Assassination Classroom beats Beaststars

@Shane Long Monogatari is definitely not for everyone for a number of reasons but if a focus on deep characterization with unconventional yet well done dialogue and writing sounds appealing at least give it a shot. First time I tried it was only 2 years after I started watching anime and dropped it after 4 episodes since it seemingly didn't appeal to my tastes and felt pretentious, I gave it another shot a bit over a year later and it turned into my favorite series in any medium of all time and has stayed there for the last 4 or 5 years.

I think I saw Shinsekai Yori on one but I must have missed Utena. It is unlikely enough of the community has seen it for it to win a poll but here's hoping we get proved wrong both those series and Bokurano are the kind of shows that spark some seriously interesting discussion. Though to be honest most people including Caleb and Jacob would most likely get really offended by one section of Bokurano and either drop it or not let it go. From the few episodes I've seen, it looks like a collection of loosely connected short stories about different characters. Biggest downside is that it lacks any kind of overarching narrative and meaningful plot progression. It very much reminds me of old shows, that used "villain of the week" formula and while some sort of progression can happen in them, it is painfully slow and can be really underwhelming.

Symphogear always has a hard times in polls like this. It went by largely unnoticed in the west until around the final season, and even then, most people I've talked to seem to just write it off as just another magical girls show. But it's not, it's so much more. You get to see how everyone grows and matures over the course of all 5 seasons - and not just characters and battles, but animation, musicianship, and direction, too. It is ABSOLUTELY worth your time. But, unfortunately, it is going up against a bunch WAY more popular shows - which, I will admit, are also good! But there is NOTHING quite like Symphogear, and I mean that wholeheartedly. I don't see it winning this poll, but may, someday, it will come across their way again...

Viewers are turned off by now it ended. I wished they gave a full closure, but on the bright side, it allows viewers to freewheel and hypothesize how it actually ended. Not to spoil anything, there is right/ wrong answer to the main topic of this show. People will continue to debate about it and up to society to decide how to deal with it. Well, assclass is actually pretty nice show, it has great ending and it perfectly reveals to us the importance of student-teacher relationship. Buuuuuuuuut, the plot and directing are on low level and it is kinda repetitive. But Beastars is really f*ing good show. Omg, every episode gives lots of questions to discuss, it is full of emotions and never gets boring. So,yeeea… I feel we need to watch Beastars first. Noragami’s a good food for thought, although I have to admit I don’t quite like most of the plot changes in the anime compared to the manga. Still, with its “downs” it has great “ups”, would love to see you react to it once.
