Well you have 6 people that are all from drastically different parts of the world, we know that 2 of them were already married and had two kids, but the number of children that the other couples had are unknown (at least what I’ve seen in the anime.

That's why it had to be folded so much, because Japan's iron is shit. There is a reason why the Samurai's relied more on their bows and guns than swords.
