There's no such thing as a "Requiem Arrow". These things are made of metal from a meteorite and have a virus that tries to kill you, surviving awakens something in you. Using more metal or making it a different shape won't "kill you more" or give you more of a virus, that's not how a virus works. It's not magic, the people who made these arrows just didn't know what viruses or space travel even was. There are people with stands who never even touched an arrow, it's just one way to get a stand. Bites the Dust almost definitely was a Requiem stand, but Araki hadn't written part 5 yet, Polnareff's the one who decided to call them that, he cant go back and rewrite his ideas into the manga in the past.

All of that and yet they remember the nod to Polnareff on the stairs of all things.

The arrow polnareff had, had a bug in the middle unlike the one's we've seen.

Pretty sure Extrime is right. I dont think its just a stylistic choice. Because if I remember, DIO mentions sapiroja beetles in his memoires as having significance. The Requiem Stand Arrow has that beetle on it.

there was nothing suspicious at all about doppio sticking around after a hole opened and closed in his chest, a man in a skintight suit who was melting his face stumbled off into a garbage truck, and another guy collapsed in front of him for seemingly no reason. they were way misunderstanding how aware of his circumstances bruno was and even could possibly have been in the best of times. which is weird because they didn't seem to pick up on the false implication that bruno sensed who doppio really was last episode, thus disregarding the fact that he was being used as a human shield. they also didnt seem to remember who Enya was or what her inclusion here means as far as Diavolo's connection to the previous two parts: being indirectly responsible for dio and almost everyone in part 4 gaining a stand.

Except that Polpo's stand arrow is Diavolo's cause going off Part 6 and us knowing what happened to every single arrow that Diavolo dug up in the first place, what probably happened was Polpo had a weird stand that absorbed the arrow and became just a stand creating stand for the gang

Pretty sure it’s an artistic choice by Araki. Is a normal stand arrow just like the others and Giorno was getting pierced by Black Sabbath’s stand arrow which is a bit different conundrum.

No Diavolo is the reason for Part 3, 4, 5, and 6
Literally everything post Hamon and Pre Steel Ball is because of Diavolo

Requiem arrow has a beatle on it, while ALL "standard" ones have just a hole in it. It alone makes it unique and is a clear indicator that is in some way special. Even when first seen, Giorno states that it's similar to the typical stand arrow that he saw earlier. Next point is that Giorno's GE got actually pierced by the normal stand arrow and nothing has happened, but when Polnaref touched it with his stand's fingers, it began to transform his stand etc. Nobody called it a requiem arrow directly in the anime/manga, but it's pretty clear that the one that Polnareff had is special.

I don't think there's canonical proof that the other arrows wouldn't be able to do the same as this one, is it? Or did I miss something?

Somebody needs to tell them that normal arrow seen in previous part isn't the same as Requiem arrow which Polnareff had :S

"a softly playing requiem" is such a bad translation of an episode that was titled perfectly on crunchyroll. cmon some stuffs. ah well.

Oh dear lord. That ending has got to be one of the most bone-chilling in the entire series.

Yeah Diavolo pretty much is the reason for part 3 in a sense lol

and Dio is Italian for god, so Dio's son defeating the guy who named Diavolo is another funny religious "reference".

Gotta love those religious references. Humanity wants to ascend to heaven, but gets put back into their place by God. Meanwhile, Humanity tries to stay above the Devil, while the Devil does everything in their power to force Humans beneath them.

Don't know if you noticed but Diavolo sold the arrows to Enya.
