2020-06-24 07:39:23 +0000 UTCHe really doesn't. His head is the size of an adults while his body is that of a christmas elf. His eyes and nose are way too big and rounded, so in all he ends up looking like a ventriloquists dummy, and the way he's always dressed doesn't help either. I get that its in Morikawas style, but he was going for a sort of cherub style for children but this kid is like advanced busted. If you see actual children that look like this, call an exorcist. And run.

2020-06-23 02:40:28 +0000 UTCOne of the things I love about this fights, versus similar fights in other anime is how Ricardo remains completely detached from his own boxing by and large. His inner monologue is almost always focused on Date, but it's rarely tactical, and is by and large commentary on his emotional state. It gives Ricardo a real aura of maturity and intelligence to him, which makes his Cool Quiet Anime Badass carry a lot more nuance, and frees him a bit from becoming a cliche.
