They've already seen the first season, so its a shame we didn't get to see their discussions to Subaru's character writing but hopefully they'll react to the 2nd season.

So Legoshi's interaction with Juno wasn't very easily translatable. Legoshi was using a polite speech form that people usually use with peers (meaning exact same age; even a year difference is considered significant) or higher-ups. As an older student he could've gotten away with using the more casual lower speech form that you use with close friends or subordinates, but he's just too nice a person to talk down to her. She asked him to address her more casually, signifying that she wanted a closer relationship with him, which the subs get across just fine, but while in the subs it sounds kinda like his response is blowing her off, he switches to casual speech based on her request. It's hard to translate since English doesn't have equivalent speech forms so I just thought I'd chime in, just in case y'all were interested.

well there is the fact that legosi and other carnivores are getting constantly feared and in some cases bullied by herbivores. Then we have the dark market, literally implying that the actions that carnivores take are wrong. This society is also strictly vegetarian (on the surface atleast), completely dismissing carnivore instincts and desires. The consequences of this are shown in this episode with all these carnivores engaging in self destructive behaviour because they are mentally broken. Its obvious that this society is systemically against carnivores

I am still a little confused as to why the Bros seem so focused on carnivore suppression as a systemic issue when we haven't seen much of it. The most I can see is the general "don't eat herbivores" and "don't fight in public" which I think are things society frowns on in general, not just carnivores specifically. Can somebody explain to me if I missed something?

Such a compelling episode and resulting post-discussion. This show is phenomenal.
